Vintage women being badass. You’re welcome.

Don’t fool yourself into thinking ladies were demure and silent in the past.

I would like more female characters being this open

Aside from bees and butterflies, bats are one of the most important pollinators on the planet - especially in tropical and desert regions.

my fave bit of black dog folklore is that in some folklore there is a belief that the first person buried in a cemetery stays there and doesn’t cross over and helps other spirits move on and protects them from evil spirits, now naturally people want to avoid this fate for their loved ones and themselves so they would sometimes bury a dog first and it would return in the shape of a big black dog and protect the newly dead from evil spirits and occasionally the living as well

this kind of spirit is called a church grim

i heard u were sad so here are a bunch of piping plover chicks

Love seeing these guys. They are all over the beaches I go to and people hate them because they are protected. Sometimes they close down parts of the beach for them but who cares THEY ARE SO CUTE

They may look like an Impressionist masterpiece, but these rare nacreous clouds have been spotted ‘painting’ skies above the UK in a rainbow of colours. Photographers across the north of England and Scotland have captured the stunning ‘mother of pearl’ formations which sit in the lower stratosphere. (Source)

Clouds can be awesome sometimes.

NATO Standard Phonetic Alphabet,

The phonetic alphabet was developed as a way to spell things out over radio communications that may be less then ideal, I.E. a lot of static or weak signal. All the words were chosen because they have a distinct sound that is easy to pick out. Military and police communications use the phonetic alphabet heavily and can be helpful to know for talking over CB’s or FRS (walky talky) radios.

I’m sorry guys, i had to
